The handsome hunk Siddharth was born on January 16, 1985 to Rajeev Malhotra and Leena Malhotra in Surat, Gujarat. His family moved to Mumbai when he was 8 years old . He is the only child of his parents and belongs to an educated family. His father is a doctor and his mother is a school principal. He took part in drama and dance in his school days as he was interested in acting and dancing. Siddharth choose modeling as a career at the age of just 16 and quit the modeling industry to become an actor, prior to making his cinematic debut.

Siddharth Malhotra did his schooling at St. Xavier's School. He looks sincere but was not good at studies. He somehow completed his gradution in B.com from Delhi university. In school days he got failed too in some subjects while studying in class 9th, but it was his luck that he somehow got passed. Siddharth's career began at the age of 16, when he was discovered by a modeling agent in India while sitting in a cafe. From his school days, he was interested in acting. He left studies due to modelling. At the age of 19, he entered in Mr.Gujarat pageant in 2007 along with 19 competitor and won that. In the same year he applied for Gladrags Mega-model & Manhunt and got selected for the final pageant. He performed well through the pageant series and by the voting of the audience, he got the sub-title of Mr.Internet Popularity, Judges selected him for the title of Mr.Photogenic in the pageant. In the final event he become Gladrags Mega-model & Manhunt 2nd runner up 2007. He had also appeared in ad campaigns for Roberto Cavalli. He has appeared on the cover of RedBook, men's health and Gladrags. A top model, he has walked the ramps for designers like Manish Malhotra and Rohit Bal. Siddharth Malhotra had also acted as a child artist in Indian TV serial Prithviraj Chauhan with Rajat Tokas. Siddharth is a model, VJ and assistant director in NDTV Good Times and TO Karan Johar in My Name Is Khan.
